Hello, I’m Rachel, the florist, owner and creative here at The Blossom Bee.
I work from home in my little studio alongside being a Wife, Mum of two and working another part time job.
My love of flowers first began in 2004 when I started working at a local independent florist. Since then I have had the privilege of studying under Paula Pryke Flowers in London, completing an Intensive Floristry course. I then went to work full time as a florist for another independent retailer before choosing to study a Level 2 Dipoloma at TyneMet. I took a break to start my family, and it was when I was on maternity leave with my son that I set up my business in 2016.
Our Wedding Bouquets
We work on weddings throughout the North East of England. We have an eclectic style, often marrying rustic, classic and elegant designs together and we love nothing more than making a brides own unique personality shine through. .
There are many arrangements to choose from and I enjoy the challenge of creating something bespoke.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a consultation?
Please fill out the enquiry form on our website and we will be in touch. We usually recommend a consultation once you have chosen your bridesmaid dresses, and have a set colour scheme. Your initial consultation is free, any other meetings will be charged at an hourly rate plus fuel costs.
Where are the consultations held?
My home studio is currently under renovation, once this is up and running I hope to hold consultations
here at home. Alternatively I try and meet somewhere local and we can chat over a coffee. I’m also more
than happy to chat over Zoom if more convenient.
When will i get my Flower Quote?
After your consultation we aim to have quotes to you within a week.
What Time will my wedding flowers be delivered?
This will all be discussed 2 weeks prior to your wedding in a catch up phone call. We will talk through
everything, to make sure we haven’t missed anything and that wedding set up runs smoothly.
Do I need to pay a booking Fee?
Yes, once you have accepted your quote there is a £100 booking fee. This secures your date and is
deducted off your final balance.
Do you have a minimum Spend?
No, I currently don’t have a minimum spend. This will be reviewed periodically, as some but not all of my suppliers have a minimum spend.
